This is a magnificent Persian handmade carpet from Nain. It's enormous. It measures 5.8 by 3.96 meters. It has silk inlay and in each of the corners is a very large boteh motif that spans right across the guard borders into the corner panel of the field of the carpet.
The central medallion is a lozenge shape and emanating from that on each of the four sides is a both motif.
The carpet is magnificent. It has beautiful shades of cream, greys, the most gentle and soft greens. There's a lot of arabesque line patterns.
