This carpet is a great work of art containing a brilliant assortment of colours and patterns that defy description. The guard border are scallops in purple. The impact of that guard border is brilliantly enhanced by the main border with its curvilinear patterns in a mixture of colours including light blues and shades of salmon, pink and teal, with these same colours or shades of such colours then appearing again in the central medallion though this time in darker tones. The burgundy appearing in the field is a powerful compliment to the purple guard border. There is nothing ordinary about this creation - it is a true wonder and is the work of the most gifted designers and craftsmen.
