This silk rug is an extraordinary example of the beautiful rugs weaved in Isfahan, which produces some of the most luxurious, intricate, and finely crafted carpets. A magnificent central lozenge medallion, of muted hues and tones of subtle greys, greens, gold and red, is the most prominent feature of this rug, together with 2 sprays of flowers sitting north and south of the centre. The colours are all in harmony with each other.
