This exquisite hand-knotted Persian rug originates from Qom (Qum), renowned for producing some of the finest and most detailed carpets in Iran. Woven with a luxurious kork wool, this rug features a classic prayer niche (mihrab) design.
The rich, warm central field in deep terracotta is beautifully contrasted by intricate floral and arabesque motifs in ivory, navy, and gold tones. Two elegant columns flank the niche, supporting a lavish hanging chandelier motif, adding an element of architectural grandeur. The border is adorned with a complex array of floral medallions and scrolling vines, further showcasing the weaver's skill and attention to detail.
